Villa rental in Portugal, Lisbon and Faro in the Algarve
Over the last few weeks we have been in Portugal, from Lisbon to Faro in the Algarve, to visit the villas we rent and the agents who will take care of your holiday. We took the opportunity to taste the delicious fish, a sea bass just caught, in a restaurant in Olhos de Agua, on the beach in the Algarve, after visiting a wonderful house, perched on a promontory overlooking the fine sandy beach dotted with large rocks with a blurred green sheen, covered in seaweed. Villamoura, Albufeira, Faro and its international airport, Lagos the chic, tourist places, it's true, but also preserved, the maze of streets built with small white houses lit up with red bougainvilleas, the dozens of small fish or seafood restaurants on the sand, the magnificent beaches, the coloured boats... The hinterland where we visited other villas.
We then went to Lisbon, taking the highways that criss-cross Portugal and make it very easy and quick to discover, to visit these large ultra-modern villas on the edge of golf courses but "without fuss" in an organized but "raw" nature, through pine forests, such as this large rental at a more than reasonable price. Beautiful, well-equipped rentals on the edge of the golf course, in Amora, Aroeira, lower down in Setubal, Sesimbra, on the other side of the capital or even by the sea. Portugal is the country of golfers, on the edge of the ocean, always present, only a few kilometres away, always wild and grandiose. There too we had lunch on the sand with a dish of freshly caught fish, accompanied by a fragrant dry white wine, and finished with these delicious "pastel de nata", a kind of delicious, crunchy and fragrant little flan, specialities of Belem, in the south of the Lisboa peninsula.
Peace and quiet on the Atlantic coast, sun and softness, golf courses, tennis courts, some villas with swimming pool and tennis, like this one in Santarem, fish, authenticity are in our opinion the remarkable points of these visits to Portugal, a country which, rightly, is becoming a sought after destination.
