Why rent a villa for your holidays ?

Villas du Monde, the villa rental specialist, addresses the problem by looking at the price and surprise ...

18/10/2021

Three criteria that we "post" this week that jump out at us!

1/ For the price of course, a particularly competitive villa / week / number of people price

Renting a villa can seem expensive, at first sight, and scare many people from 450€ to 1000€ per week (depending on the period) for 4 people, the average price low to a range of 1000€ to 3000€ depending on the season per week for the grand luxury version of a villa still for four people. That is to say between 14€ per day and per person up to 100€ per day and per person for a luxurious villa. And the more people you are, the less the price per person will drop and become ridiculous. For example, a villa in the Dordogne, in a sought-after area, near Les Eyzies, with an indoor swimming pool and private tennis court, comfortable and of good quality for 15 people will cost you 1098€ for the week in June at Villas du Monde, i.e. 10€ per person per day: a price for accommodation of this quality is almost too low to be true And examples like these are legion at Villas du Monde, whatever the country.

2/ There is no comparison

Renting a mobile home for example will cost you for 4/6 people (let us specify that the surface of the mobile home reaches 40 m2) will cost you 1200€ on average in the south of France in high season, in a campsite of honourable quality without more. A stay in a "club" in Europe will cost you a minimum of 450€ per person, or 1800€ minimum for four people in high season in a three star hotel: minimal comfort but correct. This price corresponds to the rental of a beautiful villa in July or August, in a southern European country, including France. A cruise is not an option in this price range.

3/ For the friendly, but very private aspect of renting

You rent your villa, everything is yours alone: the house, the garden, the swimming pool, the tennis court if there is one, unlike any hotel, except the very luxurious ones where you can have your own (small) swimming pool: count then a minimum of 500€ per night. In a hotel you have to share EVERYTHING, respect the imposed schedules, avoid disturbing the co-occupants by untimely noises, eat and dine at fixed times, with the fear of finding the door of the establishment closed. If you go to a hotel with your family, you share the hotel's reception rooms, the other occupants in the swimming pool, with all the unpleasantness that this can entail.
