About this holiday rental

Handsome, renovated “Chartreuse” style, Chateau type, property set in vast, peaceful grounds with a large private swimming pool and a private tennis court, surrounded by woodland with a small river running along the bottom of the valley as well as a small private fishing lake 200 metres from the house. Located near Gourdon 3km, Sarlat 15km and Rocamadour 20km. There are lovely views over the valley.

The ground floor has a large entrance hall, a living room with fireplace, reading room/library,  vast dining room with a large country style table and a fully equipped kitchen.

The garden floor (accessible from inside via two flights of stairs) has a “parents apartment” with a dressing room, bathroom, toilet, double bedroom (1 x 180cm wide bed). Double bedroom (1 x 140cm wide bed) with bathroom and toilet. Reading area with an upright Young Chang Yamaha piano (tuned regularly).

The first floor has two double bedrooms (1 x 140cm wide bed in each), both with en-suite bathroom and toilet and two twin bedrooms (2 x 110cm wide bateau beds in each) both with en-suite bathroom and toilet.

The interior is refined, has been restored to a high standard and is in perfect condition. Careful supervision of small children is required on the ground floor as there are fragile objects of value. For babies, the house is equipped with 2 high chairs, 1 Park (playpen), 2 baby beds (cots), 2 changing tables.

In a beautiful setting the grounds are lovely with large lawns, a superb pool with paddling pool for children complemented by a pool house with a double sofa bed and a summer kitchen (equipped with dishwasher, fridge, sink, oven, gas hob etc.), music system and television, sitting room with sofa. Table tennis table. The pool is accessed via steps of which the first is higher than usual. The tennis court is in excellent condition.

At the bottom of the property there is a small river and a stretch of water with a small island and corners arranged for fishing, for the surface it is quite large, from 2 to 4000 m². It is possible to fish in the river and in this piece of water: trout, roach, carp, pike. It's good for relaxation.

In august 2021: only 2 weeks: 31 th july to 14 th august and 14 th august to 28 th august.

Note: Low season prices (outside mid-July to mid-September) are for 6 (six) people and include one-hour cleaning per day along with all service charges and heating. Three of the bedrooms are closed in low season. However, if there are more people in your party all the bedrooms can be opened for a supplement of 500€ per week.

The price includes :

Property made available in good order and fully equipped. Local taxes, reasonable consumption of services including water, gas and electricity. Garden and swimming pool maintenance. Three hours cleaning on a Wednesday included.

The price does not include :

Refundable cash deposit payable locally 1000€ (or equivalent) and credit card details held for a deduction if required of 2500 euros maximum. Obligatory final clean payable locally 300 euros.

Additional services (where available) including cleaning 20€ per hour, babysitting and cooking.
