Wonderful French Riviera villa built in 1890 with all the charm, elegance, space and opulence of the Epoque. A rare property, fully modernized, set in a luxuriant garden with a good-sized private pool, located just 200 metres from the beach in Cannes le Bocca and within walking distance of shops, bars and restaurants. It offers exceptional holiday accommodation with sea views, in a secluded setting, ideal for large groups, it has a second kitchen and entrance for extra independence.
Villa accommodation covering 500 m² on 3 floors for 16 people, 8 bedrooms, 7 bath/shower rooms, air conditioning, satellite and cable television, Wi-fi, billiards, grand piano.
Only by fortnight in July and August or 3 weeks minimum, only families, group of young people not possible.
The pool level floor has a large entrance hall with big stone stairs leading up to the main living area. On the pool level floor itself, there is a comfortable sitting room with a large television, it gives access to a very big double bedroom (160 cm x 200 bed) with bateau sofa and a desk as well as access to the pool terrace and a bathroom with twin sinks and toilet. Double bedroom (160 cm wide bed) without air conditioning, it has a ceiling window without a view. Shower room.
The first floor has a hallway which leads to the main rooms and opens onto the patio terrace. Large fully equipped modern kitchen (with television, breakfast table, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, double gas hob and oven etc.) which opens onto the terrace which is equipped with a large table and chairs for eating outdoors as well as two barbecues for grills. Huge living room with fireplace, comfortable seating and a Gaveau grand piano which is tuned. Big dining room with fireplace. Both the living and dining room open onto the surrounding patio terrace which is adorned with beautiful lemon trees in large pots, garden furniture for relaxing and there are sea views towards the Lerins islands from the front. Splendid master double bedroom (180 cm x 200 bed) with en-suite bathroom and separate toilet. Double bedroom (160 cm x 200 bed) with en-suite shower room and toilet. Double bedroom (160 cm x 200 bed) with desk and en-suite shower stall and sink.
The second floor which is accessible by an impressive big wooden staircase with a lovely big old window which leads to a billiards room (French billiards table) from which radiate a twin bedroom (2 x 90 cm wide beds) and a comfortable living room with television, it has sea views. Double bedroom (160 cm x 200 bed) with a small television. Modern shower room with toilet. Twin bedroom (two 90 cm x 200 beds) with en-suite bathroom. Separate toilet. A second fully equipped kitchen (with breakfast table, dishwasher, oven, gas hob, Nespresso coffee machine etc.) with a door leading to outside steps which lead down to a rear exit to the property which is ideal for members of the group who want some independence.
All of the bedrooms have air conditioning except one on the lower floor which really doesn’t need it. The Wi-fi system is of professional standard and works everywhere very well, there is both cable and satellite television. Throughout the house the rooms are big and spacious with high ceilings, all very elegant, everything is in excellent order. Furnishings are refined and comfortable and high standard and the décor is perfectly in keeping with the property, very tasteful indeed.
As the house is on a hill there are two levels of garden area, that which is accessed from the first floor and below that which is accessed by the pool level, there are large gated interconnecting steps. Another gate at the pool level allows you to secure the pool area and surrounding lawn and terrace. The eleven-metre-long pool is L shaped and has steps for access, a flat bottom and salt filtration system. You can sunbathe on the lounger’s poolside and enjoy the magnificent lush vegetation which includes banana and palm trees. There is some road noise by the pool. The grounds cover 1500 m² and everything is nice and private due to the mature surrounding vegetation. There is plenty of parking space within the enclosed garden limits.
Railway station 200 metres. Bus stop 100 metres. Shops, bars and restaurants in Cannes le Bocca 500 metres. Scooter hire 2 km. Cannes centre 2 km. Mandelieu private airport 2 km. Golf 2 km. Boat hire 1 km. Nice airport 25 km is accessible by train and tramway, normally takes half an hour. You do not need a car at this property.
More Cannes villasThe villa is available for rent during the Cannes film festival period though it is important to note that house parties are not possible, and the numbers of people present must not exceed the capacity of 16. Full disclosure of your group and profession will be required prior to the reservation and we reserve the right to decline a reservation request if it is considered unsuitable.
Deposit of €3,000 payable with the balance of reservation, refundable fews days after end of stay
