About this holiday rental
Holiday villa with private pool and tennis court near Lisbon in Portugal, with comfortable accommodation for up to nine people. Located in Santarem, around 45 minutes drive north of the centre of Lisbon within easy striking distance of the coast. Fatima is 30 minutes and Nazaré 45 minutes by car.
The accommodation comprises a spacious living and dining room with satellite television and a good sized dining table for meals along with direct access to the pool area. Large, fully equipped kitchen (with oven, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, toaster...).
For 8 people, there are three double bedrooms and a twin bedroom (2 x 90 cm wide beds). a cot. There are 3 bathrooms and two toilets.
The house is big, with 370 m² of living space, it is nice and comfortable and there is Wi-fi internet.
The grounds are huge, covering 5600 m², with lawns, an eight-metre long pool, private tennis court and a large pool patio with plenty of garden furniture for eating outside, preparing a meal on the built-in barbeque which has a handy sink as well or relaxing by the pool.

The price includes :
The provision of the property fully prepared and equipped, provision of services including water, electricity and gas. Gardener and pool maintenance, the final clean. Bed linen and towels (bath towel and hand towel) supplied and renewed each week for holidays of more than one week (unless specified otherwise in the villa description). Final clean included.
The price does not include :
House heating during holiday periods outside July or August. A cash security deposit payable locally.

I really am very positive about our whole experience of our first Villas du Monde holiday. I found Peter incredibly helpful and responsive by email. He sorted a few things out for us and nothing was too much trouble.
The house was absolutely what we were looking for. Quiet location, really spacious and we played so much tennis. The pool was jolly cold (April) but that didn't put all of us off from swimming. The house was quite cool in the evenings, so out of season, bring a jumper. However there is a large wood store and a couple of open fires
You do need a car as there is little in walking distance, but the local towns are lovely and there is much to see. We hadn't realised how much napoleonic history played out in this area.
We are very much looking forward to a return visit.
